What is DDSText?

DDSText is a HIPAA-safe dental patient texting platform that combines verified RCS, SMS, MMS, WhatsApp Business, and Instagram Direct with DDSAi, a dental-domain AI auto-reply that redacts PHI before any external model call. It is built by THE DDS COMPANY and serves only dental practices.

What is RCS and why does it matter?

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is the modern carrier-grade upgrade to SMS. Verified RCS displays your practice name and logo, supports read receipts and tap-to-confirm, and offers higher engagement than plain SMS. DDSText is, to our knowledge, the first verified RCS sender in dental.

Is DDSText HIPAA compliant?

Yes. DDSText includes a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) on every paid plan at no extra cost. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256), every PHI access is audit-logged, and sub-processors are publicly disclosed at /hipaa-baa.

Which practice management systems do you integrate with?

DDSText integrates with all major dental practice management systems. Read/write capabilities vary by PMS; the full integration overview is at /integrations.

How does DDSAi work?

DDSAi runs in one of two modes: autonomous reply, or staff-review threshold. Before any LLM call, PHI is redacted from the prompt. Every reply surfaces a confidence score. Office settings control the threshold at which DDSAi defers to a human.

How is DDSText priced?

Pro is $49/month per location. Includes verified RCS, DDSAi auto-reply, SMS/MMS, WhatsApp, Instagram DM, PMS sync, campaigns, and analytics. BAA included. Month-to-month, no long-term contract.

How do I switch from Weave (or another platform)?

Onboarding takes 1–3 business days. We assist with phone number porting, contact list import, and template migration. See /migration for the full process.

How do I port my existing phone number to DDSText?

Submit a port-in request from the dashboard with a recent carrier bill and Letter of Authorization. Ports typically complete within 5–10 business days.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You retain export access to your message history during your final billing period.

How do I request a signed BAA?

A signed BAA is included automatically with every paid plan. To request the document for your records, email compliance@ddstext.com.

Where can I find API documentation?

API documentation is at /docs. Webhooks, REST endpoints, and OAuth scopes are documented there.
